Reason for writing a post instead of sleeping: So I remember what I did here. You know how it is, after a few days everything starts to blur and you don't recall what you did when you did it.
Also, I recall regretting not putting down the things I did in Australia.
First day:
Touchdown! Probably the only one wearing tshirt and jeans while everyone else was huddled up in their thick furry coats. Went to Disneyland. What a let down- gloomy skies and rain soaked clothes. Also, first impression of Paris: Where are the teens and chicks! And what's with all the grey buildings? Maybe it was just the sky. Best rollercoaster ride: Space mountain! Indoors, outdoors, upside down, pitchblack, planets exploding etc. After that, we had dinner at Gaspard de La nuit. Rabbit! Yum, tastes like chicken. Oh, what made things more cool were the two Kazak girls and American Chinese ladies we ate with. Amazing how my bro communicates with the two girls who can barely speak neither English nor French. I want to learn a new language.
Second day:
Went down to Champs-elysees- something like Orchard road, just not that city-like as Singapore. Very few tall buildings here. Got approached by a Chinese woman asking us to help us buy goods from LV. What a colossal waste of time. And to think we could have walked off with 3thousand Euros just like that. Had burgers-with wasabi, at Quick. Pretty awesome burgers. Then went on a detour to Wayne's friend's house to check up on a quarrel before heading to Chinatown to buy groceries for dinner. Mmmm Bak-kut-teh and Black bean sauce pork. Had Julianne over for dinner, what a nice girl. Wayne'd be lucky to have her. Tried watching Game of Thrones episode 4, but fell asleep barely half way through. Got up to walk her and Wayne to the station, carrying a samurai sword. Just for the kicks. Should have taken a picture, damn.
Third day, today:
Went to Chateau de Vincennes to have a looksee at a castle. Again, the gloomy weather did not do it justice. When will we get to see blue skies?! Walked over to the entrance of the Louvre but didn't go in. With parents around, I didn''t feel like dragging anyone along with me. Then walked through the garden to Concorde to see the Egyptian Obelisk, and from there to Champs-elysees again. Went to eat at an Italian Pizza restaurant. Waiter hitting on two American girls lol. Eiffel tower! AGAIN, Gloomy weather! Damn the rain. Didn't go up, but that didn't really matter. Mum and dad went back home while the three of us went to Christine and Luke's apartment. What amazing chefs. Simply amazing. Bet their gonna 'spoil market' once they get back to Singapore. Next stop: Montmartre, and finally the Sun decided enough was enough and came out to play. Such a beautiful chapel! Up there, being able to see the whole city with clear blue skies- that was the best part of Paris I've experienced so far.
Oh and before I finish, I can' believe I'm staying up to write this when I fell asleep countless times while watching The Avengers. Me and Sue. What a waste! Gonna have to watch it again in Singapore. In two hours I'll be up again, packing my bags to go Norway. Hopefully it won't be too cold there.

Quick recap. What a week. I passed TP on my first attempt. Thank God. I feel so much more relaxed with it over and done with. I still remember the joy I felt when I just finished parking and turned off the engine.
Went for design show. Animation was such a let down, sorry to say. Don't know why so many of them used photoshop to animate. Heard their gonna scrap the course. Too bad then. VSC was really good though. Although, quite a few of them have the same style of vectoring in illustrator.
Titanic 3d. Manly tears. Ok not really but it was reminded me of emotions I forgot for quite some time now. Wonder when I'll experience them again. Soon I hope.

Transport Operator
Sounds so much better than driver eh? First day, wow, shocked at how easy going life there seems to be. It's only the first day, but I can tell I'm gonna have fun here. Using phones openly, tea break in the morning and another in the afternoon, 1 hour lunch time... How grateful I am to be here.
All I wish for now is to be posted to somewhere where I don't have to stay in. Slim chance, but we'll see how it goes.
Feels great to be able to book out everyday. Heh, not as good as BC or Faizal's vocation, but still, not complaining. I'll take my 1 year 8 months left and use it to get to know Singapore's roads. If posted to Tekong, I'll just kill myself. Nah...

Got a scare when the doctor said it might be a fracture. Turns out it's a ligament injury. Meniscus.
At a loss, I can't go command school because of my failed ippt, but my injuries are not severe enough to down pes. So I'm stuck somewhere in the middle. I have less than two weeks to try and get into the media team. Hopefully they'll reply me fast.
Just bought SWTOR, and spent the past few days partitioning my mac, downloading Windows 7, burning it to a disk, installing it. But that installation just won't work! Argh! So many people are having this problem, but from all the forums I go to, no one seems to have a workable solution. This is so frustratinggggg

Itch. Bites. Swollen toes. I notice all these only after field camp when you have no need for adrenaline to keep you going.
Pretty relaxing field camp as compared to other companies. Most enjoyable parts are the tactical formations and movements from point to point. Stuff that really makes you a soldier. I think I did pretty well for my Situational test, hoping to get into Sispec.
Sighted two wild boars. Looked like bloated pigs scurrying around. Magi mee in the field. Shivering in my jacket at night. Proning for the longest two hours in my life. Tanking all the shit from instructors because, well, first bed always gets all the shit. Getting commended from my SME. Heavy rain and lightning during declaration. Rifle getting stunned while digging shellscrape (FUCK). Proning in the mud. And realising I'm quite mentally prepared for all the shit happening around.
I love my home a lot more now. And I wanna watch Ghost protocol today. Jessie pick up your phone!

My first book out of army deserves at least a small blog post no?
16 days have gone by, and I'm sure the next 6 weeks will fly by too. I just hope and pray my knees and ankle will get stronger and not weaker with all the training. Being on status really SUCKS big time. Using crutches SUCKS even more. But thank goodness it's getting better, I hope I can start running again next week. Or at least slow jogging.
So I've learnt how to use my Sar 21, something I've been looking forward to a long time now. And next week is grenade throwing, can't wait for that!
Woke up to a bright new Saturday morning and I hope being in camp won't be too hard now that I have no idealistic illusions about the people I'm doing this for.

A dream in which I visited my secondary school on purpose to relive some memories. And in a sense, manufacture those memories. Now that I think of it, many of the people I remember being there, I met only during poly. She definitely didn't study science with me. And she most certainly never knew me before poly. What are they doing in my dream?
Oh well, nice to be able to storm into class and make a ruckus, knowing nothing really bad will happen. And just as I wake up from my dream, the alternate reality slowly becomes imagination, and then realisation that those imaginations, in dream state, are slurred and I therefore have more time to process the tiny details that make the imaginations more real.

Didn't know it was possible to fall in love with clothes... till today. Those two stores at Somerset are the next place I'm going to once I get my next paycheck. Killer cardi (159) plus supaeh shirt (119). I hope they don't disappear soon...
Well, hurray to new pants! Nicest fitting pants ever bought! Also bought a comic book volume for a steal of 5 bucks at the somerset flea :D
Didn't have time to drool over the art because for the first time in a long long while, all I could think about was trying on new stuffs. So unlike me, I know.

So Miss Cynthia wants me to do some work for MTV Africa. Let's see if Miss Cynthia is really who she is. I'm still waiting for the email saying that she got into an accident and needs some money. Or something like that.
