Die Welle

Just watched this yesterday, and it turned out to be more thought provoking than I thought it would be. Before the film, all I knew about it was that it was a German movie. And I thought it would be boring, until the first scene which immediately captured my attention. Somehow just the simple scene of a man singing an English song along with the radio got my attention, probably because I was wondering whether or not this was really a German film.

So anyways, it's about a teacher who uses an unorthodox method of teaching his students a boring subject about "Autocracy". He assumes the role of a 'dictator', and sets rules for his students to follow. Sorta like Hitler and the Nazis. The only reason why the students actually listen to him in the beginning is because he's admired by them, sorta like how we admire Alfie. However, this 'experiment' goes out of control when his class takes it too far, so much so that they exclude others who aren't part of them. Without spoiling too much, if anyone even bothers to read this blog, his students follow and embrace the very system they despised in the beginning. It's up to the teacher to realise that his students have gone too far, and stop them.

Yesah! Last sem I had no target, and I got 3.64. This sem I aimed for 4 and got 3.89! W00T! I can't believe it XD. Looks like the countless skipped lunches and dinner did not go to waste, now the only thing I gotta do is maintain this standard or reach my target of 4. :):):)

6 months

It took me 6 months to finally finish Deadspace. I've been stuck- no, not stuck, but 'paused' at chapter 12, the final chapter for a few months. Not really sure why, but I think it's mainly due to the fact that the game's got some freaky shit going on in that chapter that I didn't want to experience just yet. So I waited, until one fine day, today, when my 360's being a bitch and won't connect to the internet, I pop in the disc and decide to have a go at it. And I finished the last chapter in about an hour or so. And man! Was the last part full of win! That freaky ass monster slug thing with all the tentacles and shit! And the last cutscene where there's a screamer with a twist! So awesome, but man am I glad to be over and done with that game.

GTA IV's also completed. It was a race against time to finish it under 30 hours to get the achievement, but I did it with 1 minute 30 seconds to spare. And the first person I killed online was a rockstar staff. Talk about good luck. Let sleeping rockstars lie.

My stomach's aching from all the food and situps, but it feels good to exercise after the long break. Unfortunately, my tablet doesn't seem to like photoshop, so I have to resort to painting in facebook. How I wish I could have the school's one.

The one thing that kept me going trough this 2 months of Peeone and animation. Every single track is so pumped full of... I dunno? Maybe it's the guitar, or Bellamy's voice, but whatever it is, it got me hooked. Peeone's showed me a lot of things, some good, some bad, some even about myself. And I'm a fair person, so I'll admit when I've made a mistake. But just as I'm ready to do that, I always believe there are two sides to a story. But enough of that. These three weeks should be time enough to relax; shop, cards, haircut, GTA IV, piano, and exercise. Hopefully, time won't fly this time round.

I wanna be in a band. I wanna be the keyboardist, playing my heart out. I wanna learn drums. I wanna excel in Moving Images. I wanna own in photoshop. I want back my Halo skillz. I want it all.

Finally, 2dart is finished. So is Des H&C. I thought that I could really excel in Des H&C abd 2dart. Got my presentaion and collage done and all today when I woke at 3am. Decided to take a 30 minute nap at 7am, before getting ready for school. I woke up at 10:30. Rushed to school, only to find that I wasn't allowed to present. Sadface. I hope my work will be enough to show Siew Cheng I ain't no slacker. Bleah. As for 2dart, it's been a struggle to save my final assignment. I didn't even like my idea much, and there were countless times I wanted to do a new piece. In the end, I think I managed to save it, and it's up to standard.
But I can honestly say I don't see any 'wow' factor in it.

Well at least I'm finally free.
