I can't believe it. One month left to animate. So many things I gotta cut... Gotta do it the smart way though.
5 seasons of Dexter blew right past me. What a ride. I want that funny looking toy.

Hop hop hop
First it was the Clone wars series. Then walking dead. Now season One's already over, then Team Fortress. And that was my first game I bought on my mac. Such an awesome game.
Until I started watching Dexter. Then TF2 became boring. 5 seaons all waiting for me to watch. :)
FYP. Looking at the big picture, at this rate, I'll be extremely hard pressed to finish it in time.

I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my bones
Waking up to the feel of christmastime never gets old. And its happening more these days. Bright blue sky, cold air, warm bed- it couldn't get any better.
Having about 50 Clone wars episodes to watch was awesome. And now that I've watched them all, I am truly impressed with Lucasfilm Singapore. Gives me hope y'know? If I enter the animation industry, I wanna be an animator. No modeling or rigging- maybe next time- but for now, I've got a thing for movements. Now for a little breakdown of what I think about the main characters after two and a half season.
Ahsoka- Not as annoying as I thought she'd be. You kinda grow to like her even though she's a kid. And to me, her character has more emotion than Anakin and Obiwan put together. Their faces somehow don't express the emotions like hers does. Maybe it's the eyes.
Obiwan- Dude why you so suck? You're my favourite Jedi- and a Master at that, but it's so often your ass gets kicked by bounty hunters, mercenaries and whatnots. Use the force man.
Anakin- Not sure what to say about him, can't seem to recall anything out of the ordinary for a Jedi. Brash, brazen, but what's new? Oh I do like the part where he force chokes that Genosian creature, cued in together with the Dark background music. A little interrogation doesn't hurt... Right?
Clones- Stop dying already!
Padme- Isn't it far-fetched that a senator would go out time and time again into the heat of battle? I wouldn't be happy if I were Anakin.
Chancellor Palpatine- Evil, scheming, nice to see his dark ways every now and then.
All in all, the clone wars stories aren't very compelling- but they ARE very interesting. Season 2 especially- different locations, story ideas, and insights into the different lives of the less well-known characters made it real fun to watch. (I like the story of the clone trooper who escaped the war) So glad they're making at least five seasons.

And today is another 'Christmasy' day. It must be the weather or something. Felt like Christmas the moment I woke up. Glad to know I'm not the only one who notices today is different. Christmasy days make me wanna play KOTOR. I guess it's because it was during the school holidays a few years earlier that I played it. Many years later and it's still as playable. It's all about the story, not the lousy graphics or sad animations which make this game great. On par with Halo, I'd say.

I can't believe what I just dreamt.
So in my dream, I just had a son. Time flies and he's now one and a half years old. I ask mum when she's gonna start giving him 'natural' milk.
....
Strangely enough, my son looks exactly like Wayne, my bro. About his height too. That's when it hit me, this freakin tall kid must be my son! So the next thing I do is ask if he has played Halo before. He says no of course, and I show him the way to the xbox, so see if my lineage as really been passed down.

So it's 5 am and I just finished Reach on Legendary.
--SPOILER ALERT--
Thoughts going through my head:
-Need to play again on Heroic digest information. How does this fit into the timeline? That's my biggest question right now. If indeed there's no retcon and everything fits perfectly, then the value of the game goes way up for me. Why oh why did everyone have to die? First Jorge, sacrificing his life wastefully, then Kat, by a single headshot. Then Carter, because he got injured and decided to sacrifice himself. Then comes Emile. Killed by zealot class Elites. Finally when I thought "Hey, at least I survived", I get killed by a squad of Elites. No doubt an honorable death, but still, their deaths combined (5 Spartans in the span of just a few days) feels all too convenient. Only one who may have survived is Jun? I'm not sure.
Alright time to get some serious sleep.

Recap of Bungie event: Sigh, Singapore's Xbox Management still needs a bit of work. I appreciate the invitation and all, but really, wasn't there any other place to host this event that wasn't as small as a 5 room flat? And you know, some real tv and xbox stations would have been great. Not gonna complain too much though, at least they did organise something eventful.
COUNTDOWN TO NEW CUSTOMISED XBOX SLIM AND HALO REACH LEGENDARY EDITION: SIX DAYS. Sep 14th can't come sooner!
And that day is so gonna over shadow my birthday. Totally forgot about it.
I love my work these two days- Been painting my own stuff because I'm kinda done with my share of work, just waiting for new assignments to come in.
I need to start on my FYP soon. Very soon.
I wish I meant more.

G2000 makes me happy. Thanks for that awesome sale, best discounts I've ever seen. Oh not to forget new shoes and polo t from Uncle Francis. First time I've been to a shopping spree where I don't have to pay :) :) :)
On a side note, WHY CAN'T I COLLECT MY GOODIE BAG AND GAME ON THE LAUNCH DATE? I MEAN, I'M GETTING THE LEGENDARY EDITION AFTER ALL, SHOULDN'T I BE GIVEN HIGHER PRIORITY COMPARED TO PEOPLE GETTING THE STANDARD EDITIONS?
sheesh.
at least I managed to snag one.
My arm hair is getting plucked away with each swipe. randommm

I'm starting to hate men. Vile disgusting men. A line must be drawn somewhere. Keep staring, assholes.
Oh how's my internship so far, you ask. It's been pretty good, easy going and quite a relaxing break from school. No, I don't get to slack at my workplace, but it's a much different lifestyle. Something I enjoy. At least I have a life now. Even though I have to wake up at a fixed time, I end at a fixed time too. Well, around there at least. I'm getting the hang of programming and codings. A very interesting skill I'd never imagine to pick up, but a skill nonetheless.
My childhood dream... Should I pursue it? Alan Moore, Neil Gaimen, Steve McNiven, Adam Kubert, DC, Marvel, etc. And of course Jessie for introducing me to DC. I wanna be a comic book artist I tell you! Gahhh I need a new wacom please.

Last 'class' of my Poly life
So apparently, that was our last class lesson thing. Which wasn't even memorable, because we haven't been TAUGHT anything the last month. But oh well. The Philippines group has touched down, and I hope to see pics of where they stay and stuff. Hope they stay safe.
Well well, I am glad there still is FYP to do, I would feel kinda empty ending school like this. I'm kinda excited about working in Mikoishi, though, this might disrupt my piano teaching. Sis says that Sinema sells Nasi Lemak. Yay, that means I don't have to walk down and up those hundred odd steps just to get lunch.
And I'm still pissed. Go make fun of me for all I care, I really don't mind, because that's what I do to others too. But don't insult my friends. Especially not my freakin INSTRUCTOR.

Wing Chun
FINALLY. One goal accomplished. The class was small, and the lessons were easy to understand for beginners. Expected the sifu to be a tough and gruff guy, but no, he was fun and made things comfortable. I can totally imagine him beating up anyone with his fluidity and skill. Looks like I'll be going back every Tuesday to practice. Chain punch woo! Soon, imma have an awesome back which can hold a 50 cent coin*

I've been caught in the Toy Story fever. I want that Buzz Lightyear toy. The one that comes with the spaceship packaging. The one with expanding wings. That lights up. That glows. That can talk to you. The one so interactive, he says "How dare you open a spaceman's helmet on an uncharted planet!", when you open his helmet. The one that makes WOOSHING sounds when you tilt him, as if he's flying. I want that toy. someonebuymeone? please? :))))
The one thing that scares me more than anything: The idea of eternity.

This week was innnnterestinggg....
First, I got to watch EMPIRE STRIKES BACK......in the CINEMA!!!!!
Second, I get this dream of a sequence of some movie, that is so detailed that I can remember the actor, the CUTS, camera angles, panning and the freaking music used. I'm so gonna make an animation of that.
Third, I can't remember much, but i do know some interesting stuff has happened.
Note: Ask Li Hua lotsa questions during concept stage, not so during production!!!

You can't see your future. Everytime you see it, it changes. Unless you believe in fate. Comprende?
-This coming from watching Flash Forward. FF has a cool concept, but it's like lost-so many character plots, the story progresses so slowly each episode, ends with a cliffhanger kinda thing. Not my kinda thing. Not to mention unrealism in some firefights. Nobody can survive an explosion of that magnitude (humvee, FBI car).
Doesn't mean it wasn't entertaining though, I still enjoyed it.

GET INVOLVED IN THE NEXT BIG THING
http://www.lms-killbook.com/main.php
Artist's Deviantart: http://adonihs.deviantart.com/
Anybody who can appreciate the arts will love this. Two and a half years in the making, I can't wait for this 230 paged comic to be released. 230 pages, all done by one guy with much skillzzzz.
It may seem a bit far fetched, but I'm hoping this will be the next Starwars.

Overpriced
In Bugis Junction, next to the Kinokuniya book shop is a comic shop. This comic shop, called Absolute Comics, sells many cool stuff. Cool stuff I would buy. Until I take a look at the price tag. Holy shmokes! A figurine I can get for 15 bucks priced at 40! The same comic which can be found in both Kino (which is right next to this comic shop) and Absolute comics can cost 7 bucks more from the latter!
I wish they'd be more reasonable with their pricing. Then maybe I'd buy something from them.

Had brunchner (breakie + lunch + dinner) today at Saizeriya, an Italian restaurant that claims to be the most famous in Japan. It was pretty empty, (they could use a makeover), but the food's GOOOOOD. And not too pricey. $2.50 for unlimited drinks. My favourite meal was the Doria with meat. Ooooh so gooood. And only for $4.30! nomnomnom

The mist
Finally, a 'B' grade horror flick which has quite decent animation. Surprisingly managed to keep me watching all the way, considering how I always give up halfway watching these kinda shows. Though, having "The Punisher" aka Thomas Jane (Woah just realised how fast 6 years have passed) and Darth Vader's secret apprentice aka Sam Witwer in the cast sure made things a lot more interesting. Also, Sam Witwer's eyebrows are interesting.
Never thought the ending would pan out the way I didn't want it to. What a waste.

Thanks to Eddy and the rest who planned the chalet. I was quite an experience. Sometimes, like now, I wish there was such a thing as freedom of speech, freedom of negative consequences, and much understanding. But of course, no such thing. Everything you type will be scrutinised. So let's leave it at that.
What's up with 24's same old twist where the one you pity most ends up the ultimate bad guy. Example: a spy in CTU. Always. I mean, the first few seasons where the guy/gal you rooted for was actually a spy sure made for a good plot twist, but come on, every season? At least it seems like every season. Don't they do extensive background checks on all their personnel after all the spies they've had infiltrating their ranks? Jeez.
Doesn't mean I don't like 24 though, to me, it's still the most engaging/entertaining series I've watched.
Need to get finished on some drawings. And workouts. Let the self improvements commence!

The end of Year TWO
And so marks the end of P2. I realised I haven't talked about it. I guess a summary is due.
My awesome team (which you couldn't ask for a better one):
Cheryl Ong
Kaz
KimLUK
I could actually sleep quite a bit during this project, which is surprising. Actually enjoyed doing what I was doing (thanks to the topic we chose;wide variety of scenes). To sum up P2 in a sentence long sentence, Computer lab almost everyday in darkness, wacom pen and hardisk, and lotsa communication through emails. Thanks to Cheryl's leadership and compiling of stuffs, I could for once 'do my job', knowing that someone else is making others do theirs.
What a 2 months it was, and now I've got this withdrawal symptom thing which will hopefully be cured in this Monday's chalet.
Clark Quey is so different from the last time I remembered it. Cart shops selling interesting stuff hard to find elsewhere, lights, touristy ambience and this bar called THE CLINIC, which, obviously is a clinic setting. What's cool is the design of the seats, the 'doctors' and 'nurses', and the ambience of it all. They even serve certain alcohol in IV drips.
And now, some stills from our Project.

Things I HATE
ONE. Idiots pressing the button (be it for traffic lights or lifts) many times, thinking that would make the process faster.
TWO. Idiots (I don't see the younger generation doing this though) pressing both up AND down buttons for the lift. Imagine this: Someone above you is trying to get the lift. Lift is on the way up to said person. You press both up and down buttons. Lift stops for you. You get in. Lift carries on going up to said person. Door opens, you look like a fool for not getting out. Lift goes down, and THEN it stops again at your level, because you freakin pressed the down button before.
THREE. Inconsiderate Idiots who use the mouse in school for the whole day, then don't bother cleaning their filthy dried up sweat and grime, leaving it for someone else to clean. Case in point, me, having just spent 5 minutes cleaning this filthy mouse someone left behind.
FOUR. Idiots playing music at the highest volume on busses or trains. You're not being cool, Mr/Mrs immature.
FIVE. Idiots shoving their way into the train as people are alighting. See those yellow lines on the ground? Their there for a reason, ass.
SIX. Please burn your hell notes in a bin and not on top of drains or in the middle of walkways, thanks a lot.

A different look on Singapore's HDB living- those corridors which go round each person's house and super low windows. First time I soaked in the surroundings and what it's like to live there, in one many HDB flats around Singapore which are constructed that way.
The ballad of Gay Tony. What an awesome storyline, character design and plot. Makes me rather work in a Rockstar studio than Bungie. The amount of different things you get to create and explore- wow. Gotta say, GTA's character designs are really indepth. My fav characters? Gay Tony (first time I can safely say, SOME gays are cool), and of course, Louis.
On a sad note, I haven't gotten my email. My email which would include details about an interview. I want that interview. I need it. I want to go to Massachusetts.

BIG NIGHT OUT: MUSE
One post before I go to bed.
Queued at 11am till 6:30pm--> Reason: To get the front row of Pen A.
Reality: I stood at front row for 15 minutes, then went right to the back. But we'll get to that later.
So after finally getting in the gates of Singapore Indoor Stadium, we had to wait another 45 mins or so before the show actually started. Whilst waiting, these bunch of 'sound technicians' were doing well, y'know, sound stuff. Testing, checking etc. Then when the performance started, it was these 'sound technicians' who were actually the band Saosin. I bet almost no one knew that. I hated the performance, honestly. What's up with uber loud drums drowning out all the vocals? Or guitar for that matter.
They finally ended, and we waited another 30 mins or so for somemore 'sound guys' to do sound stuff, in preperation for the next band. Took forever. Anyways, these (not all though) 'sound guys' turned out to be the band Rise Against. I've heard some of their songs before, so I was expecting them to be better. They were. More engaging with the audience, more energetic, to summarise, better performance. Oh before I forget, the reason why I moved to the back after 15 minutes into Saosin. But that deserves a paragraph of its own.
I find pushing and moshing incredibly stupid and retarded. I love music. I pay to hear my favourite bands play music. I queue up so I get a better view of them. I DON'T sacrifice time and money however, to push and get pushed. And not just the a flow with the crowd thing, it's seriously having to continually keep your balance or you'll hit someone real hard. First it was hands up, blocking yourself. Then next it was your whole body in full contact with other people at all sides. And the best part. An angmoh fatass on my left, jumping, shoving his fatass hand in my direction. Oh that's not all. One minute into the concert I could feel his armpit sweat tricking down. W.T.F. So that, coupled with my distaste in music where you can't hear the lyrics, made me move to the back. Ah, peace at last. Enjoying the music 100 percent. The music of Rise Against, by the way.
So Rise Against was good. Then came a 45 minutes wait for Muse's sound technicians to do somemore sound stuff. FINALLY, came Muse. And there's a reason why they have the best live performances ever. Even the opening graphics was full of tension. Then they walked into the stage and everyone became CRAZY, me included. I can think of a few reasons why they stand out. Background graphics and lighting. The set was awesome. Hard to describe in words. Pictures coming up later. Also, they didn't go "Here's the next song, xxx" Instead, they play a riff, and then people are guessing what song's gonna be next. And when you guess correct, you go ecstatic. This angmoh guy hugged his friend when he guessed right. Oh, and you can hear them sing too. Sure, the drums are loud, but the vocals still manage to stand out. That, plus recognisable guitar riffs. And, who doesn't love a singer who plays the guitar, AND piano. That cream coloured piano. Mmmm. Oh, lasers too. And one song after the next, barely any pauses. Total about 18 songs or so. Many from the previous albums (y)
Their final song: My favourite song: Knights of Cydonia. But honestly, when they perform, 'your-favourite-song' goes out the window. Every song becomes your favourite. That good.
So it ended around 11:30pm, and now I'm back home, half deaf. School tmr, I mean later. Sigh.
(And random side note, they were playing this really intense riff? freestyling-thing-before-the-real-song? Then I guessed they were gonna play Hysteria, which first part is really not very intense at all, but very cool. I was right :) Notice they like doing that- some intense sounds, then the real song will be totally different, but the effect is very cool)
And that's it for today. Money well spent, though I was going wtfispentmymoneyonthis? in my mind throughout the first two acts. More of the first act actually. Rise Against was not bad.

MUSE
TODAY! Or more specifically, in about 14 hours time!!!
-----
Was walking home from school when I heard this tsk tsk tsk sound from up high. Now what creature would make tsk tsk tsk sounds continuously as it flies? A bat. I looked up and saw two bats flying about. Now you may wanna knock me on the head and say, "Oi, have you never seen bats before?" Not in the park though. And definitely not hovering that close up ahead. Tsk tsk tsk. Kept hearing that wherever I walked after that.

Oh, did I say MUSE?

The pungent smell of Bedok flowers.
A wise decision not to jay-run past a car. It later turned out to be a police car.
Psychedelic songs.
A huge desire to go MIT. HUGE. WILL DO ANYTHING-ABSOLUTELY-ANYTHING-KIND-OF-HUGE.
Bigger appreciation for animation, specifically Corpse Bride. You guys should watch it, if you haven't.
A different way of animating fight scenes in bleach. cool.
